Every second Saturday of the month from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. the Clintondale Coffeehouse presents music, coffee and sweets. Shown above are Faithful Folk from Woodstock, NY and Born 2X from the Newburgh, NY area. The third photo came from the May 14 Coffeehouse, showing the praise choir from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, New Paltz. Come check us out.
On the Sunday nearest to July 4 our church gathers at the Hurd’s farm for a picnic and baptisms in the Hurd’s pool. The only serious thing allowed is the baptismal service; otherwise we are to dispense with all but the “fun and games” side of life. Bring a dish to share and jump in the pool with us.
On the Saturday before Thanksgiving our church invites the community to our Fellowship Hall for a Thanksgiving dinner complete with turkey, stuffing, potatoes/gravy, cranberry sauce, and, of course, pies! This is a free dinner to show our love and concern for those who live in our community. It happens on opening day for deer season and hunters are welcome to come from their day out in the woods.
There are a number of groups that gather to study, share and enjoy time with each other. Some groups are made up of members of the church, others involve believers from other groups – some are related to Tres Dias and other Christian movements. The point is that we gather in smaller groups where we can share our faith and life more intimately. Above is a picture of a sharing group enjoying a cruise on the Hudson River.
