Adult Bible Study
Each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. there is a class for adults. Greg and Carol Domino facilitate/lead the group. Currently they are studying The Images of God by InterVarsity Press.

Other Bible Studies

On Sunday evening and Friday morning there are two Bible Studies. The Sunday evening study is led by the pastor and is currently studying the book of Isaiah.  It meets at 6:00 p.m.

The Friday morning class (2nd and 4th Fridays) meets at 9:30 a.m. and is led by Doris Van Tassell and Eldeva Tofte. This is a class for the women of our church and other women who want to join.
Men's Meeting
Some of the men who meet each Tuesday night. This is a small gathering of men who share food and their lives with each other and spend time in study, particularly the Bible.
Nursing Home/Retirement Center Ministries

Above is a group from the Woodland Pond community in New Paltz.  We go there twice a month for a prayer and share service.

We also go to the Hudson Valley Rehabilitation Center in Highland, New York for a worship service.
Internet

Today one of the greatest resources for believers is the Internet. Some of the following sites have a mixture of free and paid services. Take the best and leave the rest. Listing of the sites does not imply any kind of endorsement. If you find anything that is contrary to basic Christian teaching, please let me know at pastordan@clintondalefriends.org. Here are a few of the sites for Bible study that have been of help to some:

Lectionary Sites

SERMONS & SERMON – Lectionary Resources by Rev. Richard J. Fairchild & Rev. Brett Blair.

The Text This Week.

Rev. Ken Collins' Web Site – more for the professional minister, but of interest to many.

Bible Study Sites:

Bible.org – Home of the NET Bible.

The NET Bible

Bible Study Tools:

A site where one can create a personalized Study Bible.

ESV Study Bible Online
This is a great Study Bible in print or online. The English Standard Version is one of the best modern translations.

The Blue Letter Bible

Other Sources

Most of these “other sources” are ancient texts from the beginnings of the church and shortly thereafter. They are not Scripture, but rather reflections of our ancient brethren on the Scriptures, on practices within the early church, etc. Read them to glean what you can and enjoy the rich heritage of faith that we enjoy. Most of all know that our faith is not isolated from those who went before us; we owe them a great debt of gratitude. And we owe those who come after us a faith to pass along.

Early Christian Writings.

Early Church Fathers.

More Fathers.

The Apostolic Tradition of Hippolytus of Rome.

The Phd-Programs Online site has a wealth of information on the early church.  It was recommended by a visitor to our web page.  Our inclusion of this site does not reflect endorsement of every link it includes but, as they say, "Choose the best and leave the rest."  It is certainly worth serious perusal.
